Akisha Brandon lives with his family in the historic Aldeia Hippie Arembepe, a tiny village of artisans in the dunes between a fresh water river "Rio Capivara" and the mighty Atlantic ocean, located one hour north from Pelourinho - the touristic center of Salvador, Bahia. He has five years of experience making djembe-style drums of all sizes completely by hand. Akisha custom makes drums to order as well as teaches one week workshops in making your own drum, all tools and materials provided, food and lodging available.
