Mediunidade

 

Esta página se destina a mostrar as evidências mais fortes já registradas sobre a fenomenologia mediúnica. Os casos mais fortes são os de Leonora Piper e o da Sra. Gladys Osborne Leonard. O caso de Piper é tão forte que a médium foi citada pelo maior psicólogo de todos os tempos, William James, em seu discurso na famosíssima revista Science (em inglês), como sendo uma médium autêntica. Tanto Piper quanto Osborne tiveram altíssima replicação independente, por cientistas e mágicos, o que é essencial para algo ser aceito cientificamente como provado, e jamais, em mais de 40 anos de pesquisa, foram acusadas de fraude. Assim, é perfeitamente possível para uma pessoa hoje dizer, baseada nestes casos, e em pesquisas recentes com médiuns que obtiveram resultados positivos, inclusive elogiadas por céticos, que o espírito – ou no mínimo, que o paranormal – está cientificamente provado.  Há mesmo pesquisas que seguiram as recomendações metodológicas do Dicionário Cético, e obtiveram resultados positivos. A título de curiosidade, mesmo ganhadores do Prêmio Nobel autenticaram os fenômenos mediúnicos, valendo-se para isso de seus próprios experimentos, como Charles Richet, John Strutt e o casal Pierre e Marie Curie. Atualmente, o Nobel Brian Josephson também considera que o paranormal está cientificamente provado, e o neurocientista Nobel John Carew Eccles (falecido em 1997) concluiu que a mente é uma entidade separada do cérebro, podendo existir independente dele.
